PR3 Handbook for Sustainability Office:

Leader: University of Cologne

The third project result aims to support to Higher Education Institutes in setting up a (or improving the performance of) Sustainability Centre.

The overall outcome expected in this regard is a strengthened interaction between HEIs and their local communities, an increased propensity of HEIS to get engaged in sustainability-related international networks and initiatives.

The handbook is intended to collect and disseminate best  practices related to the set up of a Sustainability Centre, to support other HEIs (out of the consortium) in the creation of a similar office at their premises. The handbook will collect insights, tips, and advices from a variety of actors, to make Sustainability Offices true collectors of sustainability initiatives.

PR3 foresees a staff week where the administrative staff of partner HEIs’ will gather, sharing good practices, inputs for improvement, etc. The participants will receive proper training to upskill their capacity to work and communicate in this field.

The Staff Week aims to shape more professional and internationally-oriented figures dealing with sustainability offices, creating synergies and networking.
